Happy New Year 2013 - Winter CHA

Happy New Year one and all! After a whiz bang finish to 2012 I'm ready for the challenges and joys of a new year. I'm tackling new technology in the form of an iPad and frankly feel quite lost with it, for instance I've been trying to put together a blog post for a month or so and still have no idea how to edit and arrange the elements, include links, well, you get the idea. Taking a class is among my goals for this new year.

I'm looking forward to spending time in Australia with my family. My dear Dad is very ill and time together is so precious. Words fail me, I just can't say too much about it yet, but I don't want to be silent about it either.

I just spent the weekend at the Craft and Hobby Association winter show in Anaheim. CHA is a wonderful opportunity to see what's new in the crafting and arty world, see fab designers demo their products and ideas, meet up with arty friends, and take in a whole LOT of eye candy!

Since I still can't seem to move photos around and caption on this 'puter yet I'm uploading some fun photos from CHA for your scrolling pleasure -
Disneyland dressed up for the winter holidays
Fabric flowers from Clover USA, made by Tami Bayer, featured on a card for Operation Write Home
Stencils are everywhere this year - some faves from The Crafter's Workshop (Julie Fei-Fan Balzer and Ronda Palazzari), Claudine Helmuth 'Studio' (Ranger), and the fabulous Dyan Reaveley along with her new colors of Dylusions spray ink from Ranger (stamps are Stampers Anonymous)

Wishing everyone a good start to your year, and if it's been a rough start I hope for better days. Don't we always hope for better days? Thanks for stopping by!

Please note: These are photos taken by me at CHA, I did not design or create these projects.
